To prioritize redundancy recovery of existing data, perform the following to cancel data copy and recover the faulty storage node.

  1. Verify the health status with the VSP One SDS Block Administrator, and verify where the failure occurred.
    Note:

If the storage node auto-recovery function is enabled, the storage node is automatically recovered. If the storage node is recovered, go to step 4.

  2. Take action for the storage node failure.
  3. After taking action, verify the event log to verify that the faulty storage node is rebuilt.

When the Rebuild operation is performed, data copy in progress is stopped automatically.

  4. Verify the progress of the Rebuild operation.

If the Rebuild operation is still in progress, wait until it is completed.

After making sure that the Rebuild operation is completed, go to the next step.

  5. Resume from step 1 in Performing data copy.
    Note:

When data copy was completed before it was canceled in step 3, retry the operation from step 8 in Performing data copy. For details about how to verify whether data copy has been completed, see step 7 of Performing data copy.
