This section describes the procedure for collecting dump log files of VSP One SDS Block via Amazon S3. Use this procedure to troubleshoot an error that occurred during storage cluster configuration.

  1. In the AWS Management Console, view the information for the root stack among the stacks you created during the storage cluster configuration, and verify that the value of "InstallationDumpLogFile" is "S3 URI". If you see "S3 URI", proceed to the next step. If you do not see "S3 URI", go back to the original troubleshooting procedure and continue.
  2. Download the VSP One SDS Block dump log files (stored at the S3 URI you confirmed in step 1).
    Note:

    If you are using the AWS CLI, you can run the following command to download the dump log files:

    $ aws s3 cp <S3-URI-confirmed-in-step-1> <any-directory>
