You can enable replication on a bucket to automatically copy objects to a destination bucket. This helps with data redundancy, backup, or distribution across regions.
To add replication to an S3 bucket:
- From the navigation pane, select S3 > Buckets.
- Click a bucket's name or its View button to select it.
- Click the Replication tab.
- Click Add Replication.
- In the Destination Bucket dropdown, select the bucket that will receive the replicated data.
- Click Save.
- Click Update.
