Generating S3 credentials

As an administrator, you assign S3 credentials that allow bucket owners to connect to the S3 gateway and perform S3 operations. These credentials let users create and manage buckets and objects in VSP One Object.

Warning: When you generate new S3 credentials (Access Key and Secret Key), any previously created keys are invalidated. The keys are only visible during generation, so if they are lost, you must create new ones for the user.

To generate new S3 credentials:

From the S3 > Buckets page, click Generate credentials.
Click Yes to confirm that you want to overwrite any existing credentials.
New values for the Access Key and Secret Key appear.
Copy and save the values.
Click Done.
