The client PC is LAN-attached to the VSP One Block storage system and communicates with the Embedded Storage Manager (ESM) modules on the controllers of the storage system. The ESMs host the embedded management tools for the storage system: VSP One Block Administrator, maintenance utility, and embedded Command Control Interface (CCI).

Before logging in to the storage system for the first time, make sure the client PC meets the following hardware and software requirements.

Hardware requirements for the client PC

  • Minimum: 64-bit compatible processor with 2 cores or more at 2.1 GHz or better
  • Recommended: 64-bit compatible processor with 4 cores or more at 2.1 GHz or better

Other than Windows 11 or Windows Server 2025:

  • Minimum: Intel Core i3 1.5 GHz (2 core) equivalent or better
  • Recommended: Intel Core i3 1.5 GHz (4 core) equivalent or better
  • Other specifications follow the specifications of each OS.
Memory (RAM) Windows 11:
  • Minimum: 8 GB or more
  • Recommended: 16 GB or more

Other than Windows 11:

  • Minimum: 4 GB or more
  • Recommended: 8 GB or more
Available storage space
  • Minimum: 500 GB

Notes:
  1. If you use Microsoft Edge, disable the pop-up blocker. In accordance with the Microsoft support policy, we only support the latest version of Microsoft Edge that works on each OS.

    Set the preferred language to either English (United States) or Japanese (Japan).

  2. Do not perform unnecessary mouse actions on the Windows 10 Command Prompt screen. It has been reported that the process executed from the command prompt stopped in the middle and the prompt was not returned.
  3. If you use Google Chrome, disable the pop-up blocker. Also, enable Web storage (DOM storage). Use the latest version.

  4. If you use Mozilla Firefox, disable your browser's pop-up blocker.
