Export Tool 2 provides functions that allow you to check and set the sampling interval of performance data collection, check the retention period of performance data, add and remove control units (CUs) for performance data sampling, and output the collected performance data. The performance data is output in comma-separated-value (CSV) format. By exporting and storing the performance data, you can analyze the metrics over time to identify peaks and trends and optimize storage performance.

Table. Export Tool 2 functions
Function name Description
Sampling interval check function (show interval) This function checks the current sampling interval of accumulated data.
Sampling interval setting function (set interval) This function sets the sampling interval of accumulated data.

The setting is applied to the next sampling interval.

The sampling interval of plots accumulated before this setting is not changed.

Accumulated data period check function (show range) This function checks the retention period of accumulated data at the current point of time.

Performance information can be output only in the period in which it is output by this function.

Information output by this function is used to narrow down the period in the Performance metrics export function.

Performance target CU check function (show cu) This function displays the list of CUs to be sampled for performance.
Add CU function (add cu) This function adds CUs to the list of CUs to be sampled for performance.
Remove CU function (remove cu) This function removes CUs from the list of CUs to be sampled for performance.
Performance metrics export function (export data) This function outputs performance metrics in CSV format that is calculated by analyzing accumulated data.

Performance metrics are compressed (ZIP) by default when they are output, but they can also be output as CSV files.

Performance metrics for any period in the Accumulated data period check function can be output.

Help function (help) This function displays help for Export Tool 2 commands.
