iSCSI port assignments

iSCSI ports are available with optical or copper Ethernet ports:

  • Optical iSCSI port: Use a single-mode or multimode XFP optical cable.
  • Copper iSCSI port: Use a Category 5 or better Ethernet LAN cable.
  1. Pull all the optical or STP cables into the rack frame, passing them through the cable opening at the bottom.
  2. Connect the optical or STP cables to the connector of each port.
Insert the cables until they are fixed to the Small Form-Factor Pluggable (SFP). Check that the cable latch clicks and that the cables are securely connected.
  3. Fix the optical or STP cables to the clamp with binders of the cable passing through the opening on the bottom plate.
  4. Connect the optical or STP cables to the host devices.
