You can create snapshots manually.

  • Obtain the following:
    • Server name
    • Volume name
    • Snapshot group name
    • Pool name

Specify the pool in which to store differential data.

  • Make sure that the user performing the procedure is assigned the Storage Administrator (Local Copy) role.
Note:

Be sure to select a pool that has a sufficient amount of free space. The snapshots, including those that already exist, might become unusable if the pool usage rate exceeds the depletion threshold value.

  1. From the navigation tree, select Storage > Servers. If you are not using VSP One Block Administrator to manage servers, from the navigation tree, click Storage > Volumes, and then go to step 3.
  2. From the inventory of servers, click the server name to open the details page.
  3. From the inventory of volumes at the bottom of the details page, select the check boxes for the target volumes, and then click Create Snapshots in the action bar.

You can also perform the operation by displaying the VOLUMES list page from the navigation tree.

By selecting multiple volumes, you can create a snapshot of the multiple volumes at the same time.

  4. Specify the required information and then create the snapshots.
