You can attach an existing volume to a server by selecting a volume from the server page.
- Obtain the following:
- Server name
- Volume name
- Make sure that the user performing the procedure has been assigned the Storage Administrator (Provisioning) role.
Note:
- Volumes for which Attached Unmanaged is displayed for the volume type are volumes that were attached by using management software other than VSP One Block Administrator.
- If a host group (or iSCSI target) that was assigned to a virtual storage machine was added to the server by using another management tool, you cannot attach volumes to the server.
