SNMP data is sent from a storage system to the SNMP agent. The following table describes an example of event details that are contained in SNMP data.

Note: If either of the following occurs, an inactive GUM is detected during GUM status monitoring. It is possible that the GUM was rebooted to be restored.
  • A ColdStart trap is detected during monitoring using SNMP.
  • A communication failure or a ping failure occurs during network monitoring on storage systems.

After the reboot is completed, the GUM is automatically restored to the normal status. As long as the LAN port link is up, and the network communication failure or the ping failure is corrected, you do not need to take any action.
