You can change the passwords of other users by using the maintenance utility. To change the passwords of other users, you need to log in as the administrator.

CAUTION:
When the user account for which you want to change the password is the same as a user account specified by the storage system registered in the Storage Device List, the password set for the account by the maintenance utility and the password set for the account by the Storage Device List must be the same. If these passwords are different, error 20122-208003 occurs the next time you use Device Manager - Storage Navigator. If this error occurs, see No-response errors and take appropriate actions.
  • If the target user has a local user account for the authentication server, use the authentication server to change the target user's password.
  • Before changing the password of a user account specified by the storage system registered in the Storage Device List window, open the Storage Device List window and click Stop Service for the registered storage system.
  1. In the maintenance utility Menu navigation tree, click Administration > User Administration.
  2. In the User Groups list, click the user group to which the target user belongs.
  3. In the user list on the Users tab, select the user account for which you want to change the password, and then click Edit.
  4. In the displayed Edit User dialog box, enter a new password in New Password and Re-enter Password.
  5. Click Finish.
If a warning message appears, click OK.
  6. When the confirmation message appears, click Apply.
  7. When the completion message appears, click Close.
