Use this procedure to configure the cloud connection settings for the cloud service.
- You must have the Storage Administrator (View & Modify) role to perform this task.
- If your storage system shipped with SVOS RF 9.8.2 (firmware 93-06-41) or later, the cloud connection settings are available in the maintenance utility. You can proceed to the next step.
If your storage system shipped with an earlier version of firmware, complete the following substeps before proceeding to the next step:
- Upgrade to SVOS RF 9.8.2 (firmware 93-06-41) or later.
Note: SVOS upgrades should be performed by Hitachi Vantara customer support or a certified service partner.
- After upgrading, enable system option mode (SOM) 1209 by running the following CCI command:
raidcom modify system_opt -system_option_mode system -mode_id 1209 -mode enableNote: SOM changes should be performed by Hitachi Vantara customer support or a certified service partner.
- Verify that SOM 1209 has been enabled by running the following CCIcommand:
raidcom get system_opt -key mode -lpr system
SOM 1209 should be listed in MODE_ID.
- Log in to the maintenance utility as a user with the Security Administrator (View & Modify) role.
- Verify that the Administration menu includes Cloud Connection Settings.
- Upgrade to SVOS RF 9.8.2 (firmware 93-06-41) or later.
- In the maintenance utility, click Administration to expand the Administration navigation pane, and then click Cloud Connection Settings.
- In the Cloud Connection Settings window, click Set Up Cloud Connection Settings.
- In the Set Up Cloud Connection Settings window, enter the desired settings.
Option Description Organization Code Specify the organization code obtained from the cloud service. You can enter a character string of 8 alphanumeric characters excluding spaces.
Proxy Select whether to set a proxy server. - Enable: A proxy server is set.
- Disable: A proxy server is not set.
Server Settings Specify the settings for the proxy server. - Identifier: Enter the host name of the proxy server. You can enter up to 255 alphanumeric characters and symbols excluding " # & ' * + , / : ; < = > ? [ \ ] ^ { | } and spaces.
- IPv4: Enter the IPv4 address of the proxy server.
- IPv6: Enter the IPv6 address of the proxy server.
- Port Number: Enter the port number of the proxy server.
Authentication Select whether to set the authentication function. - Enable: The authentication function is set.
- Disable: The authentication function is not set.
- User Name: Enter a user name used for authentication. You can enter up to 255 alphanumeric characters and symbols excluding : (colon).
- Password: Enter a password for the user name used for authentication. You can enter up to 255 alphanumeric characters and symbols.
- Confirm the settings, and then click Apply.
- When the completion message appears, click Close.
