If the SVP microcode version is updated from earlier than 88-04-01-XX/00 to 88-04-01-XX/00 or later, perform the following procedure to check and, if necessary, change the settings.

If the SVP microcode version is earlier than 88-04-01-XX/00, IP addresses of SVPs might be registered in the exception site list in Java security settings on the management client, for using Device Manager - Storage Navigator secondary windows. If the SVP microcode version is 88-04-01-XX/00 or later, registration of IP addresses to the exception site list is not necessary.

  1. Start Java Control Panel on the management client by either of the following ways:
    • From Windows Control Panel, double-click the Java icon.
    • From the Windows Start menu, click All Programs > Java > Configure Java.
  2. Click the Security tab.
  3. Check whether the following URLs are registered in Exception Site List:

    http://IP-address-of-SVP

    https://IP-address-of-SVP

If these URLs are not registered, click Cancel to finish the operation.

  4. Click Edit Site List.
  5. In the Exception Site List dialog box, select the URLs shown in step 3, and then click Remove.
  6. Click OK
  7. In Exception Site List, confirm that the corresponding URLs are removed.

If the corresponding URLs are removed, go to the next step.

If the corresponding URLs are not removed, see steps 4 and 5 and correct the problems.

  8. Click the Advanced tab.
  9. Under Perform signed code certificate revocation checks on, select All certificates in the chain of trust, and then click OK.
    CAUTION:
Even when Perform signed code certificate revocation checks on is not displayed and Perform certificate revocation checks on is displayed instead, select All certificates in the chain of trust, and then click OK.
  10. Close the Control Panel.
