Changing a user email address

Use the following procedure to change a user email address or delete an unnecessary user email address.

  • You must have the Security Administrator (View & Modify) role to perform this task.
  1. In the Device Manager - Storage Navigator Administration tree, click User Groups.
  2. In the User Groups tab, select the user group to which the user belongs.
  3. On the Users tab, select the target user, and then click Edit User.
  4. In the Edit User window, select E-mail Address, and then enter the new email address.
    To delete an unnecessary email address, leave it blank.

    You can use up to 255 characters with alphanumeric characters and the following symbols: ! # $ % & ` + - * / ' ^ { } _ . = ? @ | ~

  5. Click Finish.
  6. In the Confirm window, check the settings, and then enter a task name in Task Name.
  7. Click Apply to apply the settings to the storage system. The settings are queued as a task and performed in order.
    The task is now registered. If Go to tasks window for status was checked, the Tasks window opens to show the status of the task.
