Provisioning a command device for the Gateway VM

If your UCP system includes a storage system, you must provision the UCP Advisor Gateway VM with a command device. The command device must be created in the meta_resource resource group.

Use the following procedure to provision a new command device to the UCP Advisor Gateway VM on the management node.

1. Log on to vCenter Server Appliance.
2. Right-click on the UCP Advisor Gateway VM and select Edit Settings.
3. Under New device, click Select.
4. Select RDM Disk and click Add.
   
   
   
   
5. Select the target LUN and click OK.
   
   
   
   
6. Click OK.
7. Restart the UCP Advisor Gateway VM.
