Use the following guidelines and suggested steps to help resolve datastore availability issues when deploying management VMs using the Service Console.

Condition:
When running the Service Console, and selecting one of the following configurations:
  • Hyperconverged infrastructure (HC) with a management node but no vSAN
  • Converged infrastructure (CI) with a management node
the following error message is displayed: No datacenter with an eligible cluster is available. Try again with different vCenter Server Appliance details.
What it Means:
There is no valid datastore created where the management VMs can be deployed.
Corrective Action:
Retry the operation using information for a different VCSA.
  1. Log out of the Service Console.
  2. Log on to the VCSA where you want to deploy the management VMs.
  3. Create a datastore of about 650 GB or more.
  4. In a web browser, log on to the Service Console.
  5. Proceed to the Select a VCSA version page, select only the Deploy UCP Advisor Management Software option, and then click Next.
  6. Enter the VCSA information.
  7. Select the datastore you created in step 3.
  8. Proceed with the rest of the deployment.
