Configuring Hitachi Remote Ops

The following procedure describes the simplest and most common Hitachi Remote Ops configuration.   1. In a web browser, navigate to http://localhost:6696/CGI-LOGON; consult your Hitachi Vantara representative for the default password.
  2. On the User Management tab, in the Detail for Remote User Id 'UCP Advisor' pane, verify that the remote user ID is ucpadmin and that a remote password is entered.

  3. On the Configuration tab:
    1. Click Base, and then enter the <Site ID>.
    2. Click Transport Agents, and then select a data transfer agent from the list. Click Create.
  4. On the Summary tab, add UCP Advisor.
    1. Click Add a device.
    2. From Select Device Type, select Hitachi UCP Advisor.
    3. Enter the remaining information, and then click Add.
