The following procedure describes the simplest and most common Hitachi Remote Ops configuration. - In a web browser, navigate to http://localhost:6696/CGI-LOGON; consult your Hitachi Vantara representative for the default password.
- On the User Management tab, in the Detail for Remote User Id 'UCP Advisor' pane, verify that the remote user ID is ucpadmin and that a remote password is entered.

On the
Configuration tab:
- Click Base, and then enter the <Site ID>.
- Click Transport Agents, and then select a data transfer agent from the list. Click Create.

On the
Summary tab, add
UCP Advisor.

Click
Add a device.

From
Select Device Type, select
Hitachi
UCP Advisor.
- Enter the remaining information, and then click Add.
