Use the following guidelines and suggested steps to help resolve issues that occur when using the Service Console to set up UCP Advisor.

Condition:
Entering incorrect BMC, ESXi, vCenter cluster, or vSAN cluster configuration values when setting up UCP Advisor using the Service Console, or refreshing the Service Console browser window during setup, causes the setup to hang, and not complete.
What it Means:
The UCP Advisor setup does not complete.
Corrective Action
  1. Close your current browser session.
  2. Reset the configuration depending on when the setup hangs:
    • During BMC configuration:
      1. Reset the BMC credentials for all the compute nodes to the following Hitachi-provided default values:
        • BMC Username: admin
        • BMC Password (default): Hitachi_supplied_default_password
      2. Open a new browser session.
      3. Restart the UCP Advisor setup.
    • During ESXi configuration:
      1. Reset both the BMC and ESXi credentials for all the compute nodes to the following Hitachi-provided default values:
        • BMC Username: admin
        • ESXi Username: root
        • BMC and ESXi Password (default): Hitachi_supplied_default_password
      2. Open a new browser session.
      3. Restart the UCP Advisor setup.
    • During vCenter Cluster configuration:
      1. Reset both the BMC and ESXi credentials for all the compute nodes to the following Hitachi-provided default values:
        • BMC Username: admin
        • ESXi Username: root
        • BMC and ESXi Password (default): Hitachi_supplied_default_password
      2. Delete the vCenter cluster.
      3. Open a new browser session.
      4. Restart the UCP Advisor setup.
    • During vSAN Cluster configuration:
      1. Reset both the BMC and ESXi credentials for all the compute nodes to the following Hitachi-provided default values:
        • BMC Username: admin
        • ESXi Username: root
        • BMC and ESXi Password (default): Hitachi_supplied_default_password
      2. Delete the vCenter cluster.
      3. Delete the vSAN cluster.
      4. Open a new browser session.
      5. Restart the UCP Advisor setup.
    • During UCP Advisor setup:
      1. Delete the Master Node, Worker Node1, and Worker Node2 VMs.
      2. Open a new browser session.
      3. Restart the UCP Advisor setup.
      4. Select the configuration type as Existing management cluster.
    • If you refresh the browser session:
      1. Delete all the objects created by the Service Console.
      2. Open a new browser session.
      3. Restart the UCP Advisor setup.
Important: Enter the correct values during deployment. Do not refresh the browser.
