You power on and boot the host system after the storage system has been connected.

  1. Power on the host system display.
  2. Power on all peripheral devices. The storage system must be on, and the ports and modes must be configured before the host is powered on. If the ports are configured after the host is powered on, the host may need to be restarted to recognize the new settings.
  3. Confirm the ready status of all peripheral devices, including the storage system.
  4. Power on and boot the host system.
