You can pair VSP 5000 series volumes with volumes in other storage systems. For details about available combinations of storage systems including the supported microcode versions, see System requirements and specifications.
Note: When specifying the
VSP 5000 series serial number using
CCI, add a "5" at the beginning of the serial number. For example, if the serial number is 12345, enter 512345.
VSP 5100 or VSP 5500 can create a
TrueCopy pair with the
following storage systems:
- VSP 5000 series
- VSP G1x00, VSP F1500
- VSP
- VSP E series
- VSP G/F350, G/F370, G/F700, G/F900
VSP 5200 or VSP 5600 can create a
TrueCopy pair with the
following storage systems:
- VSP 5000 series
- VSP G1x00, VSP F1500
- VSP E series
When connecting to VSP E series, VSP G/F350, G/F370, G/F700, G/F900, the CTG ID for the P-VOL and the
S-VOL must be the same. The range of values for the ID is as follows:
- When connecting to VSP G350, VSP G370, VSP G700, VSP F350, VSP F370, VSP F700: 0 to 127
- When connecting to VSP E990, VSP E1090, VSP G900 or VSP F900: 0 to 255
- When connecting to VSP E590 or VSP E790: 0 to 127
