Resolving errors during configuration of the encryption environmental settings

If an error occurs during configuration of the encryption environmental settings, use the following procedure to resolve the error condition.

  1. If you set Key Management Server to Enabled (in the Edit Encryption Environmental Settings window) by mistake, perform the following actions:
    1. Initialize the encryption environmental settings.
    2. Configure the encryption environmental settings again.
    Note that you should not perform any other operations.

    In other cases, continue to the next step.

  2. If a parity group with encryption enabled exists, do not take any action. Collect dumps, and then contact customer support.
    If there are no parity groups with encryption enabled, continue to the next step.
  3. In the Tasks window, find the failed task (Failed is displayed in the Status column), and then click the Failed status to display the error code and actions to take.
    If the error code is one of the following, take the actions displayed with the error code to resolve the error condition:
    • 03005-108110
    • 03005-108111
    • 03005-108112
    • 03005-108113
    • 03005-108115

    If the error code is "00002-058578" or "20123-107015", take the actions specified in Troubleshooting Encryption License Key operations to resolve the error condition.

    If the error code is not any of these error codes, collect dumps and then contact customer support.
