If a pool is blocked, you must recover the pool volumes, pool, Thin Image pairs, Thin Image Advanced pairs, and then V-VOLs in that order. This section describes how to recover a blocked pool.

Recovering blocked pool volumes

If a pool volume is blocked, contact customer support.

Recovering blocked pools
Recover a blocked pool by using one or both of the following methods:
  • Add pool volumes.
  • Decrease the pool usage rate by deleting all the snapshot data of the P-VOLs.
Recovering Thin Image Advanced pairs

If a pool is blocked while metadata is being copied due to a pair operation on a Thin Image Advanced pair, the pair enters the PSUE status. If no pair operation is being performed for a Thin Image Advanced pair, the pair does not enter the PSUE status. To restore a Thin Image Advanced pair in the PSUE status, delete and re-create the pair.
