During the process of expanding the capacity of the volumes of a Thin Image Advanced pair, a failure can occur after successfully expanding one volume, but before expanding the other volume. This can occur while performing different operations during this process. How you recover from such a failure depends on the operation that you were performing when the failure occurred.

If you were expanding the volume capacity of the pair as a response to a previous failure, ensure that the previous failure is corrected first.
