You can assign secondary volumes to Thin Image Advanced pair snapshot data. The method for
creating a new Thin Image Advanced pair and assigning an S-VOL to snapshot data is the same as
creating a pair with a specified S-VOL. For details, see Creating Thin Image Advanced pairs. The following
explains how to assign an S-VOL to snapshot data for an existing Thin Image Advanced pair.
- You must have the Storage Administrator (Local Copy) role.
- Thin Image Advanced
pairs must be in the PSUS status.
Assigning secondary volumes using CCI
commands
The following is an example of assigning the snapshot data of the P-VOL (LDEV number
10:10) in the snapshot group (db1) to a volume of LDEV number 20:00:
raidcom map snapshot -ldev_id 0x1010 0x2000 -snapshotgroup db1
The following is an example of assigning the snapshot data of the P-VOL (LDEV number
10:10, MU number 10) to a volume of LDEV number 20:00:
raidcom map snapshot -ldev_id 0x1010 0x2000 -mirror_id 10

pairs reaches 32,768.
Note:
- When you assign an S-VOL, you cannot simultaneously specify both the P-VOL
of a Thin Image Advanced pair and the P-VOL of a Thin Image pair.
Specify the P-VOL of one pair or the other.
- You cannot operate on both a Thin Image Advanced pair and a Thin Image pair
by simultaneously specifying both the snapshot group containing the
Thin Image Advanced pair and the snapshot group containing the
Thin Image pair. Specify a snapshot group containing one
pair or the other.
- You cannot simultaneously specify and operate on both a Thin Image Advanced pair and a Thin Image pair. Specify one pair or the
