You must have the Storage Administrator (Provisioning) role.
Before disconnecting a mapped volume, review Prerequisites for disconnecting external systems.

Open the External Storage window.
1. Click Storage Systems, and then expand the Storage Systems tree.
2. Click External Storage.
On the External Storage Systems tab, select a path group.
Click Disconnect External Storage Systems.
In the Disconnect External Storage Systems window, review the volumes that will be disconnected, then click Apply.
In the confirmation window, click Apply again.

When you finish the procedure, the status of the external volume displays as Cache Destage, even if there is no data left in the cache. You can click Refresh View to update the status. When processing is completed, the status of the volume changes to Disconnect.
