For VSP 5000 series, you can assign a namespace ID in the range from 1 to 4096. However, do not create a pair by using a namespace whose namespace ID is in the range from 2049 to 4096 when connecting VSP 5000 series with VSP One B20. Otherwise, a failure (such as pair suspend) might occur in VSP One B20.
The following restrictions apply to namespaces when you create a pair using VSP One B20 as the connection source and VSP One B20, VSP 5000 series, or VSP E1090 as the connection target:
- Namespace ID that can create a pair: 1 to 2048
- Number of namespaces that can be created on an NVM subsystem: 2048
