Export Tool 2 collects the details and statistics regarding the I/O operations and hardware performance of storage systems. With the usage and performance data on storage systems collected by Export Tool 2, you can do the following:
- Determine the optimum timing for duplicating TC data
- Determine the best locations for TC S-VOLs (for example, in an array group with the least-accessed volumes to prevent bottlenecks in backend operations)
- Monitor the performance of storage systems with TC running or during a test run of TC
