When the remote replication pairs in a 3DC configuration share the same volumes with the local replication pairs (SI/TIA), expand the volume capacity in each of the following groups in the order shown in the following figure.
The expansion order in each group follows the expansion order in the local replication. In a 3DC multi-target or 3DC delta resync configuration, expand the volume capacity in the same way.
- Expand the S-VOL group that consists of the S-VOL in the remote replication pair and all volumes in the local replication pairs with which the S-VOL shares the same volume.
- Expand the P-VOL group that consists of the P-VOL in the remote replication pair and all volumes in the local replication pairs with which the P-VOL shares the same volume.
