If you migrate data on both volumes with a heavy I/O load and volumes with a light I/O load when hosts request I/Os for updating data, volume migration might not be completed even if the progress rate becomes 100%. In such occasion, take either of the following actions:

  • Reduce the I/O load caused by hosts to finish migration.
  • Temporarily stop volume migration for volumes with a heavy I/O load, migrate data on other volumes, and then resume the temporarily stopped migration.

When the maintenance personnel is changing the settings in Modify mode, the system is locked. There is a possibility that the volume migration will remain on the move, if the competition of the volume migration is occured during locking. In this case, wait for a while until the system locking is released.

If the Nondisruptive Migration Data Consistency (#16) option of the local replica option is enabled, data migration is not automatically completed. If you disable the Nondisruptive Migration Data Consistency (#16) option after the pair synchronization rate for the volume migration pair becomes 100% or 99%, the pair status changes from COPY to PSUS, and the data migration is completed.

For details about hot to change the local replica option by using CCI, see Command Control Interface User and Reference Guide or Command Control Interface Command Reference
