You can select a volume having an attribute setting of Data Retention Utility as a source volume. However, depending on the access attribute of the target volume, you may not be able to perform Volume Migration operations. For information about whether or not you can perform the volume migration operation to the volume having the access attribute of Data Retention Utility, see the table below:

Note: A source volume exchanges the role with a target volume by the Volume Migration operation. However, the access attribute of the source volume and the target volume does not exchange.

Depending on the status of Volume Migration, you may not be able to set the access attribute with Data Retention Utility to the source volume or the target volume of Volume Migration. For information about whether or not you can set the access attribute to the Volume Migration pair, see the table below:
