Workflows for provisioning

Follow this general workflow to provision your storage system. Subsequent workflows delineate various aspects of this workflow.

1. Configure drives.
2. Create a pool.
3. Modify pool settings.
4. Register a server.
5. Set port connections for the server.
6. Create volumes.

   Enable the capacity saving settings (compression or deduplication and compression).

7. Attach volumes.
8. Take backup snapshots and replicate data.
9. Manage the capacity of volumes and pools.
10. Configure a global-active device.
11. Manage the operating status of volumes.
