Supported functions:
- Using a as a GAD primary volume (P-VOL) or secondary volume (S-VOL).
- Expanding the capacity of a used in GAD.
Functions not supported:
- Using a V-VOL as a quorum disk.
- Using a pool-VOL as a P-VOL or S-VOL of a GAD pair.
- Using an external volume with data direct mapping enabled as a quorum disk.
- Using a V-VOL with data direct mapping enabled as a quorum disk.
- Using a deduplication system data volume as a P-VOL or S-VOL of a GAD pair.
In addition, you can use Dynamic Provisioning in combination with GAD to replicate V-VOLs. You cannot specify a Dynamic Provisioning pool-VOL as a primary volume or secondary volume.
This figure shows the interaction when the GAD primary volume and secondary volume are also DRD-VOLs.
