Supported functions:

  • Using a as a GAD primary volume (P-VOL) or secondary volume (S-VOL).
  • Expanding the capacity of a used in GAD.

Functions not supported:

  • Using a V-VOL as a quorum disk.
  • Using a pool-VOL as a P-VOL or S-VOL of a GAD pair.
  • Using an external volume with data direct mapping enabled as a quorum disk.
  • Using a V-VOL with data direct mapping enabled as a quorum disk.
  • Using a deduplication system data volume as a P-VOL or S-VOL of a GAD pair.

In addition, you can use Dynamic Provisioning in combination with GAD to replicate V-VOLs. You cannot specify a Dynamic Provisioning pool-VOL as a primary volume or secondary volume.
