The specifics of the CPU load monitoring mode are as follows:

  • The monitoring period is the period of time during which this function monitors whether both IOPS and the MP unit operating rate are lower than the threshold values. This function decreases the CPU frequency if both IOPS and the MP unit operating rate are lower than the threshold values for more than the set monitoring period.
  • CPU load monitoring starts when you enable the CPU power saving mode or set the monitoring period.
    • The monitoring period count starts at the time that the CPU power saving mode is enabled. The monitoring period before enabling the CPU power saving mode is not included.
    • When you change the monitoring period while the CPU power saving mode is enabled, the monitoring period count is reset and restarted at the setting change.
  • The load monitoring period is set to 10 minutes by default. You can specify the load monitoring period in the range from 10 to 180 minutes by 1 minute unit.
  • You cannot specify the following two settings at the same time: enabling the CPU power saving mode and setting the load monitoring period.
