If you want to disable the LUN security or change the data transfer speed on ports, follow these guidelines:
- Make sure the operations are not in progress on the host.
- Make sure the that the LU is not in the host-reserved (mounted) status.
- It is best to enable LUN security on each port when configuring your storage system. Although you can enable LUN security on a port when host I/O is in progress, I/O is rejected with a security guard after enabling.
- If you want to disable the LUN security, make sure to verify that the I/O operations are not in progress on the host before the operation.
- I/O processing that the user is not aware of, such as a health check of an OS or multipath software, might be in progress. If the I/O processing is in progress, the operations might not be performed. If this is the case, stop the I/O processing before the disabling LUN security.
