If the data I/O operations cannot be performed on a specific port due to a failure on the route, you can create a redundant path by defining multiple channel ports to use for a data I/O route to a logical volume .

NVMe/TCP enables you to create a redundant path by setting multiple NVM subsystem ports on the NVM subsystem that contains a namespace to which the logical volume is assigned.
