To determine whether a host recognizes the NVM subsystem, check whether the subsystem NQN of the NVMe controller that the host recognizes that it is connected to matches the subsystem NQN of the NVM subsystem on the storage system.

If a host is connected to the discovery controller of a storage system, the NQN of the discovery controller (discovery service NQN) is displayed. For this reason, a discovery service NQN might be displayed in addition to the subsystem NQN of the NVM subsystem created in the storage system.

A discovery controller is an NVMe controller used for searching for NVM subsystems. The NQN of the discovery controller is fixed to the following: nqn.2014-08.org.nvmexpress.discovery

You can use CCI or REST API to view the history of the NQNs of the hosts that were connected to an NVM subsystem in the past as login information. You can delete the history by using CCI or REST API. When you delete the history, the NQN for the hosts that are not currently connected to the NVM subsystem or the discovery controller is deleted.
