Secure communication is required between Automator and Administrator and optional for API Configuration Manager, BNA, and DCNM.
To set up secure communication, you must do the following:
- Create a private key and Certificate Signing Request for each product
- Get a certificate from CA (or create a self-signed certificate)
- Set a private key and certificate
To complete these tasks, refer to:
- For Administrator, see Configuring SSL communication.
- For API Configuration Manager, see Setting up SSL communication.
- For BNA or DCNM, see the associated product documentation.
After these tasks are completed, you can import the certificate of each product into the Automator Common Component truststore.
