Click See Unmanaged Volume Pairs in the Replication Groups window to access the Unmanaged Volume Pairs window.
You can do the following:
- View the details of volume pairs.Note: Ops Center Administrator does not display snapshots that have an unassigned S-VOL.
- Click a P-VOL ID or a S-VOL ID in the list of volume pairs to view the detail for each P-VOL and each S-VOL.
When you select volume pairs, you can restore them using the Restore icon ()
Note:
- A volume pair with SMPL cannot be restored.
- Before using the Restore function, stop all I/O activity to the volume.
- For the following storage systems, if the specified conditions are met, splitting will not be performed after restoring for Snap or Snap on Snap pairs:
Storage systems Conditions - VSP One Block with microcode version A3-02-21 or later.
- VSP 5000 series with microcode version 90-09-25 or later.
- VSP E series with microcode version 93-07-24 or later.
- The consistency of the snapshot group to which the pair belongs is enabled.
- APPLY TO ALL GROUP PAIRS is set to NO.
- If APPLY TO ALL GROUP PAIRS is set to Yes and the snapshot group contains volumes that are not displayed in Ops Center Administrator, the split might fail. This is because Ops Center Administrator cannot confirm that the restore is complete.
CAUTION:
The Restore function will overwrite the volume with backup data. The data on the current volume will be destroyed.
Note: If a copy group is renamed outside Ops Center Administrator, the replication group will become an Unmanaged Volume Pair. Copy groups cannot be renamed using Ops Center Administrator.
