storage system inventory

The Storage Systems window includes a summary section identical to the summary on the dashboard. This includes the capacity summary and data protection summary. You can view and manage individual storage systems from the Storage Systems window.

The ID used inside the storage cluster is displayed in the S/N column. You can search for a specific storage system by the ID used inside the storage cluster. You can also use various filters to find a specific storage system.

From the storage systems window you can view and manage individual storage systems.

The total column shows the total physical capacity of the storage pools.

The ID column shows the storage cluster id (uuid).

The last refresh status column shows whether the last refresh was successful.
  • Successful: The last refresh completed successfully.
  • Error: The last refresh failed, or the initialize process after onboarding a storage system has not been finished yet.

The following actions are available:

  • To launch VSP One SDS Block Administrator in a new browser, click the Launch VSP One SDS Block Administrator icon in the S/N column. You can use VSP One SDS Block Administrator to perform functions that are not available in Ops Center Administrator. If you have the System Administrator, Storage Administrator, and Security Administrator roles, you can launch VSP One SDS Block Administrator dashboard directly. See the VSP One SDS Block documentation to verify the supported browsers.
  • To delete a storage system, select it, then click Delete.
  • To update storage systems manually, select them and then click Actions > Refresh. You can view the status of the updates in the Jobs window.
Note: If you downgrade software-defined storage, some operations in the software-defined storage system might fail in Ops Center Administrator.

For the software-defined storage software versions supported by Ops Center Administrator, see "Chapter 1: Hitachi Ops Center Administrator environment" in the Hitachi Ops Center Administrator Getting Started Guide.
