Troubleshooting the JDK replacement

If the rainier-replace-jdk command fails during replacement of the JDK in the container, the system might not start the Ops Center Administrator service. Restore the setting by following the procedure and then replace the JDK.

  1. Copy the rainier-backup-yyyymmdd-hhmmss.tar.gz file to the directory specified by the --backup-dir option.
  2. Uninstall and then re-install Ops Center Administrator server.
  3. Use the backup file to restore data. See Backing up and restoring system settings in the User Guide.

If you encounter the same problem, collect the following information and contact customer support:

  • Support information stored in getlogs of the directory specified in the --backup-dir option.
  • Latest file in /var/logs/rainier-tools with the following format: replace-jdk_yyyymmddhhmmss.log.
