Use Virtual Appliance Manager to backup system settings before moving Ops Center Administrator to another instance. Also, you must upgrade with this method if you are upgrading from v10.0.0-v10.8.x which was installed using stand-alone preconfigured media to v10.9.0 or later using the consolidated Ops Center preconfigured media.

The settings include configuration files, an email template file, and an SQL file.

  1. Open a browser and enter https://ip-address/vam/ to access the Virtual Appliance Manager and adjust the settings for your server environment.
  2. Click Backup to download a tar.gz file containing system settings.
  3. When you are ready to restore, log in to Virtual Appliance Manager.
  4. Click Restore and either drag and drop the backup file or click the plus sign (+).
  5. Click Submit. The restore procedure can take up to an hour, after which Ops Center Administrator restarts.
  6. Remove and re-register Ops Center Administrator in Common Services.
