Note: Time Protection is only supported on Hitachi NAS Platform Series 5000 and later platforms.
When Time Protection is enabled, retained snapshots are protected from deletion if the system time is considered inaccurate. A request to delete a retained snapshot is accepted as usual, however, snapshots with expired retention are not deleted until Time Protection is reset or disabled.
