Backup the HNAS registry and SMU Configuration
- Open a browser session to the SMU.
- Log in as admin; enter the current password when prompted.
- Back up the Server registry:
- Navigate to Home > Server Settings > Configuration Backup & Restore.
- Click the <Backup> button.
- Save the registry file to a location on your computer.
- Verify that the archive file opens.
- Backup the SMU Configuration:
- In the GUI, navigate to SMU Administration > SMU Backup and Restore.
- Click the Backup SMU: <Backup> button.
- Save the configuration file to a location on your computer.
- Repeat steps i. and ii. until you have two backup files of the same size.
- Verify that the archive file open.
Collect System Diagnostics
- Collect Diagnostics from the system:
- Navigate to Home > Status & Monitoring > Download Diagnostics.
- Select Include Only the Currently Managed Server in the Managed Server section.
- Leave the Storage, and FC Switches check boxes selected.
- In the SMU section, uncheck Include archived diagnostics.
- Click Download.
- Save to a location on your computer.
Stop All Replications
- Open a browser session to the SMU GUI at the SMU IP Address.
- Stop all File Replication Jobs:
- Navigate to Home > Data Protection > File Replication
- In the Schedules section, abort any running file replication jobs
- On the details page, set any jobs scheduled to run during the upgrade period to INACTIVE.Note: Note the schedule values so they can be reset after the procedure.
- Stop all Object Replication Jobs:
- Navigate to Home > Data Protection > Object Replication.
- In the Schedules section, abort any running object replication jobs.
- On the details page, set any jobs scheduled to run during the procedure to INACTIVE.Note: Note the schedule values so they can be reset after the procedure.
Verify the Status of the Cluster
- Navigate to Home > Server Settings > Cluster Configuration.
- Verify that the Cluster Health is Robust.Note: If the Cluster is not Robust, resolve all issues before performing the Reconfiguration Procedure.
