After replacing the battery, collect system backups and diagnostics.
- Connect to the back-end NAS Private Management Switch.
- Open a browser session to the SMU. (External: 192.0.2.1; Embedded: 192.0.2.2).
- Login as the admin user.

Back up the Server registry
(Embedded SMU - this includes the SMU configuration).
- Navigate to Home > Server Settings > Configuration Backup and Restore.
- Click Backup.
- Save the registry file to a location on your computer.
- Verify that the archive file can be opened and the contents can be extracted.

Backup the SMU Configuration - External SMU ONLY.
- In the GUI, navigate to SMU Administration > SMU Backup and Restore
- Click Backup SMU: Backup.
- Save the configuration file to a location on your computer.
- Verify that the archive file can be opened and the contents can be extracted.

Collect Diagnostics from the cluster.
