  1. Mount the installation media on the jump node that you selected as the installation node and boot it from the installation media.
  2. Select Install Rocky Linux 9.3.
  3. On the Installation Summary screen, navigate to User Settings and then click Root Password.
Warning: A warning message may appear under the Installation Destination setting on the Installation Summary screen. Do not click this setting or any other setting, as doing so may cause data loss and irreversable problems with the automated deployment process.

Creating a user password is a mandatory step before you can start the installation process. For optimal security, a password should be a minimum of 12 characters long and contain a combination of uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and special characters.

    CAUTION:
It is your responsibility to remember your custom passwords. HCI does not have the ability to retrieve lost passwords. If you lose your password, it will be permanently unrecoverable.
    1. In the Password field, type your password.
    2. In the Confirm field, re-enter your password.
    3. Click Done.
  4. Click Begin Installation.
It takes approximately 10-15 minutes for the installation to complete, at which point the installer will restart your device. Ensure that the node is booted from the hard disk once the installation is finalized.
  5. Log in with your credentials:
    1. In the Username field, type your username.
    1. In the Password field, type your password.
