When Protector is linked to an instance of Ops Center the UI timeout will now be based on the user's actual activity on the UI (e.g. mouse / keyboard movement) rather than whether the UI has sent an API call to the back end.

There are two modes of operation which are governed by Ops Center settings:
  1. Timeout after user inactivity regardless of which screens the user is on.
  2. Timeout after user inactivity only if the UI does not refresh its information. This would mean a status or log page that periodically updates the screen would prohibit the UI from ever timing out. This is useful if the user wishes to leave screen up as a dashboard but may have unwanted security implication.

When the user is timed out, the UI will return the Protector logon screen. From the logon screen the user can elect to "Login with Ops Center" whereby the user would login depending on the current login state within Ops Center.
