Renaming instance-level nodes in the resource tree

You can change the instance-level node names in the resource tree. The new name is reflected in the following features:

  • Resource tree view reports
  • Alerts feature
  • Health Check (table reports, performance chart reports, and real-time reports)
  • Workload Analysis report (table reports and performance chart reports in UI, and in the downloaded PDF reports)
  • Reports generated in Reports Scheduler:
    • Health Check
    • Inventory
    • Replication
    • VSM Summary
    • Workload Analysis
  1. In the resource tree, right-click the instance-level node that you want to rename, and then click Rename.
  2. Enter the new name, and then press Enter.
  3. Click Yes to confirm.
    Note: If you want to restore the system-defined (default) name, you can revert it with the Undo Rename () option which is displayed when you hover over the renamed node in the resource tree.
