The Alerts Summary tab is the default display and contains a high-level summary of all resources alerts. The Alerts view shows only the alerts for the selected node.
Alerts define conditions for critical parameters such as response time and throughput. When one or more of these conditions is violated, the information is displayed in the UI and an email notification is sent to the email recipients (and the Syslog server), enabling you to take action before users are affected.
An Alert notification identifies the resource and metric violating the alert condition. The following example definition triggers an alert when the Read Response Time of the pool is greater than 10 milliseconds for 10 samples of the last 30 minutes. (The last part of this definition rules out a transitory spike, ensuring the notification is worth pursuing.)
You can obtain details for each alert in the Alert Violations tab by clicking the plus symbol (+) for the resource.
