SSD endurance is the total amount of data that an SSD is guaranteed to write under warranty. The SSD Endurance report lists SSD drives with an endurance usage exceeding 50%. It helps you to take corrective actions to avoid data loss. (This report is displayed for a certain Hitachi Storage system models on the Parity Group group level node.)

Sometimes the SSD Endurance report includes the message No data available for current view. Verify the storage systems models, endurance value, and drive type as described in the following sections.

Storage system models

The SSD Endurance report is supported only for the following storage system models:

VSP E990, VSP F350, VSP F370, VSP F700, VSP F900, VSP G350, VSP G370, VSP G700, VSP G900, VSP 5000 series AFA, and VSP 5000 series hybrid.

Verify that you are viewing the report for supported storage system. If so, verify the report criteria in the next section. If not, the Analyzer detail view is showing the message as expected.

Endurance value and drive type

Verify if used endurance exceeds 50% and the drive type is SSD.

  1. In the Analyzer detail view left pane, select Reports > Build.
    The Build window opens.
  2. Click Create Using MQL.
  3. Enter the following query in the Enter MQL box:
    raidDrive[=usedEndurance rx .*]
  4. Click View Report.
    The View Result window opens.
  5. Verify whether the used endurance exceeds 50% for any of the drive and drive type is SSD:
    • If the drive type is SSD, but used endurance is less than 50%, the Analyzer detail view is showing the proper status.
    • If the drive type is SSD and used endurance is more than 50%, the Analyzer detail view is not showing the proper status. Contact Customer Support for further investigation.
