Configuring the Syslog server

You must configure the Syslog server to receive alert notifications.

1. In the application bar, click the Manage menu.
2. In the Administration section, click the Manage Syslog link.
   The Manage Syslog window opens.
3. In the Manage Syslog window, click the Add Syslog Server link.
   The Add Syslog Server window opens.
4. Type the following details:
   • Server Name Syslog server name or the IP address
     Note: The Server Name field supports alphanumeric characters, hyphen (-), underscore (_), and dot (.).
   • Protocol TCP or UDP
   • Port Port number of the Syslog server
5. Click Add.
   Note: The alert notifications are sent to the syslog server are always in the GMT time zone and do not consider the time zone that is configured on the Analyzer detail view. This is a default behavior of the Syslog server.
